When a checklist is enough
A checklist is great for a short, self-contained list: a packing list, a meeting agenda, or a release checklist someone will tick through today.
When TXM fits better
When work is agreed across many messages and days, by different people, TXM keeps the list complete without anyone maintaining it, and shows who owns each task and since when.
Use both
Checklists and TXM do not conflict. Many teams use a checklist for a one-off list and let TXM track the ongoing work.
