Projects, from the conversation
TXM files each task under a project, based on what the group is talking about, so the board shows the work for a release, a client or a campaign together.
Blockers and dependencies
When someone writes “can’t fix checkout until the certificate is renewed”, TXM marks the checkout task as blocked and links it to the certificate task. When the blocker is done, the waiting task is flagged as ready.
Status without status meetings
/capturedshows the day’s changes by stage: completed, in progress, blocked, new and reopened.- The board shows open, overdue and done counts for the whole team or one person.
- Every task keeps its source messages and history, so “who agreed to this, and when?” always has an answer.
What TXM does not do
TXM is a task manager for chat-first teams, not a full project suite. It has no Gantt charts, time tracking or resource planning. If you need those, pair TXM with a dedicated tool. If you don’t, TXM keeps the plan current with no extra work.
Questions
Can I manage several projects in one group?
Yes. TXM groups tasks by project within the group.
Does it track dependencies?
Yes. It records when one task waits for another and flags the waiting task when the blocker is done.
Is it free?
Most features are free.
